My focus is to help my patients is to live life fully unburdened by pain, feel strong and balanced in every movement, and embrace a sense of peace.
Let’s spend 90 minutes together where we set the tone of where you are going and how you are going to get there.
We’ll start by getting clarity about the circumstances that brought you in and set clear goals for your time at JKPT. Then we’ll take inventory of your current mobility and muscle function so the changes that come from treatment can be clear.
The evaluation process also helps to prioritize treatment. When mechanical restrictions in your tissues are most limiting, we’ll address them using hands-on techniques. But if dysfunctional postures, body mechanics, and coordination are in the driver’s seat, we’ll begin there.
Finally, we’ll create a practical treatment plan that fits your schedule and resources. Follow-up visits range from 60-90 minutes with a frequency of 1-4 times a month depending on your needs. My focus is on supporting progress toward your ultimate goals.
Working together for 60 minutes provides time to build a trusting relationship with your child. I have a genuine interest in what they need and sincere respect for their boundaries in whatever way they are communicated.
The session will always begin with introductions and age appropriate explanations of my approach. Evaluation and treatment flow seamlessly providing the flexibility and spontaneity children need to thrive.
Through careful observation and hands-on assessment, we identify and treat the area of greatest tension in your child’s body, taking into account their need for sleep, snuggling, feeding, or play throughout the session. During bodywork for babies and children, we take breaks to let them process the changes and ensure the right amount of treatment if provided in each session.
I will work with you to create a practical treatment plan that fits your schedule and resources with respect to the goals we have laid out. Follow-up visits can vary from 30-60 minutes with a frequency between 1 and 4 times a month. My focus is on providing a supportive, nurturing environment throughout the entire experience.
I’m hesitant to make a promise to resolve pain. Each body is so individualized and comes with a certain level of resistance to change. For those who come ready for something outside the norm, positive changes happen in each session. But here’s what I can promise:
I will help you develop a clearer understanding of what your or your child’s body is communicating so you can give it what it needs to feel good.
